HELP WANTED - NEW YORK TIMES Sunday, November 23, 2008 NYC Managerial Employees Association, non-profit public sector professional organization seeks Executive Director. MEA advocates for career managers employed by New York City government Boards, Corporations & Authorities. Responsibilities: Report to MEA President. Interface & strengthen contacts with city government officials. Participate in development & implementation of recruitment strategies to grow & retain membership. Interact & support activities of professional staff and MEA Committees. Lead multi-year planning strategies & goal setting for the Executive Board and individual chapters. Advocate for members with city agencies regarding employment issues. Encourage creativity and foster leadership in developing strategies to provide services to members. Provide periodic status reports regarding achievement of goals & recommendations for improving execution & performance. Create and develop job related workshops and educational training programs. Oversee daily activities of staff members. Qualifications: Minimum BA/BS degree and five years of managerial experience.
