RAISES APPROVED FOR NEW YORK CITY MANAGERS

Submitted by Linda Barnes, Executive Director July 10, 2009 Late this afternoon, Deputy Mayor Edward Skylar confirmed that raises for New York City managerial employees have been approved and authorized. This information was provided to MEA President Stephen Ferrer, during a telephone discussion with Deputy Mayor Skylar. Salary adjustments will consist of two four percent (4%) increases, including retroactivity. For more than one year, the New York City Managerial Employees Association (MEA) has persisted in its strategy to advocate across the board salary increases for its members, as well as all New York City managers. This information will provide relief to the thousands of New York City managers who have waited patiently for City Administration to maintain its historical trend and commitment of ensuring salary adjustments for managerial employees. Further details will be provided, as more information becomes available.
