Current WTC-Specific Medical Treatment Options for City Employees. City employees and retirees who were exposed to the WTC disaster may be eligible for care through the World Trade Center Health Program.

Treatment referral program is an important part of the World Trade Center Health Registry. TRP staff help survivors and responders exposed to the World Trade Center attacks on 9/11 apply to the World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP). Through the WTCHP, survivors and responders can get care anywhere in the nation for approved 9/11-related health conditions. WTC Health Program is a limited federal health program. The Program provides no-cost medical monitoring and treatment for certified WTC-related health conditions to those directly affected by the 9/11 attacks in New York, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The WTC Health Program is dedicated to helping those who were there during and after the attacks of September 11, 2001. The program provides services to the following categories of individuals when the individual meets activity, location, time period, and minimum hour requirements. Learn more here.
