NYC MEA Executive Board Resolution
Administrative Code Section 12-126
The NYC Managerial Employees Association Executive Board reiterates its May 18, 2021 resolution defending City retirees rights to maintain their Original Medicare coverage while the City pays for their supplemental coverage as they have for over 50 years. The Executive Board opposes the Administration’s current attempt to amend the City Administrative Code Section 12-126 to eliminate that guarantee and allow the City to diminish the health care benefits of employees and retirees. Any existing City health care plan in effect as of July 1, 2022 must remain an option without a premium or co-pay for employees and retirees so covered as of July 1,2022.
