MEA proudly celebrates our Community Board District Managers. These dedicated professionals ensure that local voices are heard and community needs are met across New York City’s diverse neighborhoods.
District Managers have a wide range of responsibilities – from coordinating city services to organizing public meetings that shape neighborhood development. They oversee the processing of permits, handle resident complaints, and serve as advisors on land use and zoning issues that affect community character and quality of life.
To find out which Community Board represents your neighborhood, you can use this interactive map (which has other useful information like school districts and police precincts). To find the contact information and meeting schedule for your board, look here. For more information about your local Community Board and upcoming meetings, visit their website here.
MEA is proud to represent the District Managers across all Community Boards of NYC.
We’d like to send a special shoutout to our MEA Community Board chapter representatives: Celestina Leon, George Torres, Shawn Campbell, and Susan Stetzer. Not only do they work hard to make the neighborhoods they serve better places to live, their active participation as members of our Executive Board help to make the MEA stronger.
