Culture Pass

New Yorkers are spoiled for choice when it comes to world-class cultural institutions. Our city is home to some of the finest collections of arts and antiquities in such venerated locations as the American Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Thanks to a partnership with the New York Public Library (NYPL), Brooklyn Library (BPL), and Queens Library (QPL), many of the city’s top attractions have now become even more accessible to library cardholders!

Culture Pass is a reservation system powered by a public library membership. Cardholders 13 years and older with a regular, full-service library card can reserve free admission tickets to the dozens of New York cultural institutions participating in the program. Simply go to the Culture Pass website, log in with your public library credentials, search for availability, and reserve! The terms of the offer may vary across participating locations, so be sure to read all details. Reservations are non-transferable; a valid ID is required to pick up tickets, and the cardholder who reserved the ticket must be present.  Check out the program’s FAQ page for more details.

Not a public library member yet? Eligibility requirements for a free library card are that you must either be a New York State resident or work or go to school in New York City.  You can find out more details on how to sign up for the NYPL, BPL, and QPL at the linked pages.
