Fleet Week and Memorial Day

Memorial Day is dedicated to honoring the men and women who have given their lives in service to the United States military. While Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer for many, its true purpose remains to commemorate those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Learn more about this history of Memorial Day here.

MEA is honored to represent our members who are former service men and women, HERE.

Fleet Week is a seven-day celebration honoring the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps taking place from May 21 to May 27. This year marks the 37th annual Fleet Week in New York City, with the theme “Honoring the Past, Defending the Future: 250 Years of Sea Service Excellence,” celebrating the history of the sea services. The event provides the opportunity for citizens to meet service members and witness the latest capabilities of today’s maritime services. New Yorkers can participate in Fleet Week through numerous activities. Visit the official website for Fleet Week New York 2025 here.
