Pamela Bonney, MS, RDN, CDN, FAND has been the Clinical Nutrition Manager at Huntington for 3+ years managing the Clinical Nutrition team. Pam has been helping clients achieve their nutrition & fitness goals since 1993, first as a Certified Personal Trainer and then as an RDN after graduating from NYU with an MS degree in Clinical Nutrition in 1997. While at NYU, Pam began as a Teaching Fellow and continued to teach at various colleges in NYC. Since 2018, she has been Adjunct Professor at New York Institute of Technology. Pam worked at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center from 1999 -2020, as Clinical Nutrition Supervisor where she supervised staff and provided medical nutrition therapy for patients with a multitude of chronic disease states. Pam also served as Dietary Supervisor for the long-term care facility, Robert Mapplethorpe House at Beth Israel, from 2007 – 2015. Pam is the co-founder of Tried and True Nutrition, Inc., a private consulting practice where she specializes in chronic diseases, eating disorders, digestive disorders, and plant-based nutrition. She has been featured in multimedia including radio, NY Times, NY Daily News, News 12, Pix 11 News, Cheddar television news, and has won awards including Top 20 Best Nutritionists of NYC 2017 and Best Nutritionist of Huntington, NY for 2019 through 2022. She has been an invited speaker throughout the tri-state region for healthy cooking and lifestyle nutrition education since becoming an RDN. Pam, a distinguished Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, is a NYC and state advocate/spokesperson for the American Heart Association and was an active board member of the Long Island Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics until 2023. Her postgraduate coursework includes obtaining her Plant-based Nutrition Certificate from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies in 2013, and she is currently pursuing her PhD in Integrative and Functional Nutrition at Saybrook University, working on her dissertation on mindfulness techniques and obesity. Fun fact: Pam lives in Huntington with her 3 kitties Electra, Fitz and Mason, and is writing a whole foods, plant-based cook book.
