June: Men’s Health Month

Men’s Health Month is observed every June and serves as an important reminder for men and their families to prioritize health and wellness. This annual observance encourages men to take proactive steps toward better health through preventive care, regular checkups, and healthy lifestyle choices, and the New York City Office of Labor Relations (OLR) offices a number of very useful resources.


If you smoke, quitting is an important step toward a healthier life and reduces the risk of cancer and heart disease. OLR’s Employee Smoking Cessation Assistance Program (ESCAPE) offers free quit-smoking and quit-vaping support for all eligible City employees and members of their households.
