Meet Our Interns

NYCMEA is excited to welcome Kyle Chen and Helen Hung as our 2022 Summer Interns.

KYLE CHEN
Kyle is our Finance Intern. After attending the Bronx High School of Science, Kyle is now a rising sophomore at Stony Brook University in Long Island. He’s majoring in business management with goals to specialize in either finance or marketing. Outside of university, he wants to be able to utilize knowledge from his classes and apply them to any new professional experience. He does have previous experience working as a Biology intern at Alley Pond Park Environmental Center and being a student at NYU Weekend Workshops: Investing Fundamentals. These experiences have shaped what industry he aspires to work in for the future. He hopes to be able to learn new skills such as Google Analytics and refine old ones at MEA. At the same time, he wants to be able to help MEA achieve their own goals of becoming a more far-reached,well-known organization. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, playing games on his computer, and participating in new activities.

HELEN HUNG
Helen is our Marketing and Growth Intern. She has an extensive history utilizing her marketing, public relations, and communications experience to further the causes of nonprofit institutions, particularly those who effect positive social and economic change. This summer, she is excited to help MEA grow their membership base, expand their outreach operations, and facilitate their social media channels. Helen is currently a rising junior at Barnard College of Columbia University studying Economic and Social History. She is also a proud native New Yorker and Brooklynite. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, listening to podcasts, and frequenting NYC’s coffee shops.
