Advance RSVP is required. This event is for members only. Upon registration, each person will receive notification their registration is pending review. The office will manually review each registration to check the membership status and then a confirmation with the registration link will be sent. Each link is registered to the individual. Therefore, do not share the link. It can only be activated once.

MEA Retiree Chapter Minutes
Friday October 25, 2024
Elections were held for new Chapter representatives on Friday 10/25/2024. The following were elected unanimously by those members present:
- Chapter Director – James Durrah
- Assistant Chapter Director – Sam Borkow
- Recording Secretary – Evelyn Marrero
These officers will serve for a 2-year term.
Brief discussion was held of the ongoing court challenges regarding the proposed City changes
to health benefits. This is an ongoing situation as the City has appealed against any decision
they lost. As more information becomes available, you will be notified. There is an article in the
November 1, 2024, periodical “The Chief” with more information about a City Council Intro.

All of the members present enjoyed a delicious breakfast and great camaraderie with each
other.
A raffle was held with 3 members each winning a book.
