The Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) has partnered with Municipal Credit Union (MCU) to launch a new program offering reimbursement for civil service exam fees. Through this initiative, MCU members can receive up to $40 back for DCAS-administered civil service exams.
To participate in the program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be an MCU member at the time of taking the exam
- Use an MCU debit card for exam registration
- Register for an upcoming exam (previously taken exams are not eligible)
- One grant per MCU member in total
- Submit reimbursement documentation as required by MCU
The initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen the city’s workforce, following DCAS’s recent reforms to Minimum Qualification Requirements for entry-level civil service titles. These changes have focused on making positions more accessible by emphasizing relevant work experience and practical skills rather than formal education requirements.
