Congratulations to MEA member Chastity Coleman for being appointed Assistant Commissioner at New York City Department of Homeless Services (DHS).
Chastity has been with DHS for 10 years and her unit creates and refines programs, policies & procedures, training curricula, and processes to support colleagues and the DHS shelter network.
MEA asked Chastity, what is the best part of her job? Knowing that my work helps my colleagues and the DHS shelter provider network who in turn help individuals and families experiencing homelessness return to the community.
