MEA wishes all our members a Happy Memorial Day! Every year, the last Monday in May provides an opportunity to express our gratitude for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in serving our country. To mark the occasion, there are many events in NYC worth checking out.
In Brooklyn and Queens, you could attend one of two long-standing Memorial Day Parades. In Manhattan, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum has a ceremonial wreath-laying event to honor fallen soldiers. Around the harbor, you can participate in one of the many happenings for Fleet Week, when seamen from ships at sea around the world visit the city.
