January 6th marks National Technology Day – an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the diverse ways that technology has shaped, influenced, and enhanced our world. The effect that technology has had on our way of life is undeniable, and has changed the way we interact with our surroundings and each other.
The hardworking individuals at the Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) have helped the City harness the power of technology and use it to make New York better connected, more efficient, and safer. Whether its increasing internet access to NYCHA residents through the Big Apple Connect program, creating the MyCity portal for easier access to City services and benefits, or improving the technological infrastructure that keeps NY moving, OTI is working to better serve all New Yorkers.
