Nurses Rock! MEA is giving a shoutout to nurses in honor of National Nurses Week (May 6-12). Vital to the functioning of our healthcare system, nurses do crucial work every day to keep New York on its toes. Their contributions to our lives are limitless and impactful. This year, the theme of National Nurses Week is “Nurses Make the Difference,” highlighting how their varied roles – from caretaker to advocate – for the improvement of the healthcare journeys of their patients.
To celebrate, some high-profile buildings around the country will be illuminated to show that #NursesLightUptheSky. Additionally, discounts are available for nurses, including from such vendors as Outback Steakhouse, GNC, and Reebok.
The MEA is honored to represent the City’s extraordinary nurses. Our NYC Health + Hospitals Chapter is one of our most robust, made up of professionals from all over the City’s awarding-winning public hospital system – the largest in the nation!
