NYC General Elections

NYC, it’s time to do your civic duty and get out and vote! November 7th is General Election Day, which is an important opportunity for you to be involved and have your voice heard. Every City Council member is up for reelection, with several seats having a more competitive race than has been seen in recent years, including District 19 in Queens and District 47 in Brooklyn. Other big name races include those for Queens and Staten Island District Attorneys. You can find a list of all races and proposals on the ballot here.

Polls are open from 6 AM to 9 PM on November 7th, and early voting runs from October 28th through November 5th. You can find your polling place here. Voter registration must be completed by October 28th in order to participate in the general election, which can be done online, in-person, and by mail. You can check your registration status here.

Every vote counts, and local elections have a huge impact on our daily lives. Voting is an essential part of maintaining a healthy democracy and functional city.
