Overdose Prevention and Response Training

New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene will provide an Overdose Prevention and Response Training. This virtual training will teach you how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose using naloxone and provide information on how to access free naloxone.

  • Review of drug overdose mortality data
  • Review of opioid overdose and naloxone
  • Overdose prevention and risk reduction tips (specifically for people who use drugs)
  • Review of steps for responding to an opioid overdose using naloxone
  • Ways to access naloxone in NYC

Sarah has worked in direct services for over 10 years, including a homeless youth shelter in New Orleans and a homeless drop-in center with a syringe exchange in LES and Harlem. Sarah loves being able to spread this life saving knowledge throughout NYC.
