Return To Office

Message to City employees via the Mayor’s Order from the Office of the Commissioner.

MEA will post updates as we receive them.

September 1, 2021

Dear Colleagues,

The past year and a half has been challenging for all of us, and I want to express my deepest gratitude for your service and sacrifice during this difficult time. Whether you are an essential worker who has been serving on the front lines, or you adapted to the new realities of teleworking, your dedication made sure that DCAS could continue to serve all New Yorkers.

As we enter a new phase in this pandemic, I want to inform you that Mayor de Blasio has announced that all City employees will be required to report to worksites on a full-time basis beginning September 13, 2021.

In order to update you about this news and to share additional information, my office will be hosting a virtual Return to Office Town Hall on Tuesday, September 7th. Presenters will discuss new guidance on face coverings, the use of shared spaces, and other important policy information. Meeting details will be forthcoming.

It will be my top priority to ensure that the return to office is as orderly as possible.

Sincerely,
Lisette Camilo
Commissioner
