It’s April, and that means Tax Day is just around the corner! This year, 2022 returns are due on April 18. For those who are still getting their returns in order, the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection offers several tax prep resources. Individuals who made less than $56,000 and families with dependents that made less than $80,000 can use free tax preparation services by making an in-person counseling session or taking advantage of drop off services at one of these NYC centers.
Multiple online tax preparation services are on offer, including Get Your Refund, Bronx Works, and Grow Brooklyn. These tax preparation sessions can help make sure you understand how much you owe and why, and also make sure you take advantage of any tax credits for which you are eligible.
