Each year, the Wednesday of the last full week in April is Administrative Professionals Day, which honors the invaluable contributions of administrative professionals to the workplace. It’s time to acknowledge the behind-the-scenes efforts that DCAS does to keep businesses running smoothly and efficiently for NYC.
Members of the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) are the administrative professionals behind the City government. They are responsible for a wide range of important City programs. From recruitment and hiring to managing real estate to leading the City’s efforts to lessen its environmental impact, DCAS is instrumental in keeping the City operating efficiently. They also promote the professional development of the City’s workforce by providing training in a variety of categories, like technology skills and professional practices, at the DCAS Citywide Training Center (more information can be found here).
